Advantages
1.The size stability of the Western redwood is excellent because of its low wood density and shrinkage factor.
2.Because the wood density is low and the texture is rough, the western red cypress has a good adiabatic value. Among the most common cork species, it is the best insulation.
3.After drying and applying primer correctly, the wood of western red cedar can adapt to all kinds of coatings, paints and colorants very well.

Attention
The ability of nailing, screwing or bolting is poor in the western red cypress wood, so it needs fasteners about one-third longer or larger in diameter than hardwood species. The use of ordinary iron wire and copper nails should be avoided, because when iron or copper forms chelates with limonene or plicatic acid in wood western red cypress is easy to change color.
